About the Susquehanna Warrior Reserve
Ensure every person has a clear, dignified path forward.
That's our mission — plainly stated, locally rooted. SWR exists to restore dignity, opportunity, and resilience across Northeastern Pennsylvania through trauma-informed pathways connecting people to housing, healing, education, and employment.

Why "Warrior Reserve"?
Our emblem is a warrior's helmet holding a sunrise over Pennsylvania mountains — because the people we serve are not "cases." They are warriors: veterans who carried our flag, young people who survived systems built without them, families fighting through crisis, and the frontline workers who hold everyone else up. The reserve is where warriors regroup, resupply, and return stronger.
The backbone model
No single agency can end homelessness, hunger, or the mental-health crisis alone. SWR works as a backbone organization: we unite county agencies, health systems, nonprofits, schools, churches, and community leaders into one coordinated, trauma-informed network — with transparent referrals, progress tracking, and shared leadership.
Transparency
We maintain transparent funding practices aligned with Government Finance Officers Association standards, and our donations are processed through The Luzerne Foundation, a 501(c)(3) community foundation. Founded in 2023, we're building this coalition in the open — ask us anything at any time.
